Armenian to Serbian and Serbian to Armenian Translation in Yerevan

Our Armenian Serbian translation service in Yerevan covers both directions: Armenian to Serbian for use in Serbia, and Serbian to Armenian for authorities in Armenia. Apostil.am works with a network of professional freelance translators and editors who write Serbian in both Cyrillic and Latin script. Choose a stamped translation handled fully online, or a notarized translation for government bodies.
When you need a Serbian translation
Serbian is the official language of Serbia, and closely related standard varieties are used in Bosnia and Herzegovina (especially Republika Srpska) and Montenegro. For Armenian citizens, Serbia is one of the destinations for work, study and business, and nearly every step there involves translated paperwork.
- Residence permits in Serbia: birth and marriage certificates, police clearance, family members’ documents.
- Employment and company formation: employment contracts, diplomas, articles of association, registry extracts, powers of attorney.
- University admission in Belgrade, Novi Sad or Niš: school certificates, diplomas, transcripts, course syllabi.
- Marriage in Serbia: certificate of marital status, birth certificate.
- The other direction: Serbian documents translated into Armenian for civil registry offices, notaries, universities, banks or the State Revenue Committee, such as the birth certificate of a child born in Serbia or a Serbian partner’s company papers.
A detail worth knowing: under Serbia’s Constitution, Cyrillic is the official script, although Latin script is common in business and daily life. Tell us which script you need, and we will match name spellings to your passport.
Documents we translate
- Personal and civil status: passports, ID cards, driving licences, birth, marriage, divorce and death certificates, name change certificates, police clearance, travel consent for minors.
- Education: school certificates, bachelor’s and master’s diplomas with supplements, transcripts, syllabi.
- Legal and corporate: charters, registry extracts, board resolutions, powers of attorney, supply and lease agreements, court rulings.
- Medical: discharge summaries, lab results, vaccination records.
- Technical and commercial: conformity certificates, manuals, specifications, invoices, websites and marketing materials.
We translate Armenian documents into Serbian for submission in Serbia, and Serbian documents into Armenian for Armenian institutions.

Stamped vs notarized translation
A stamped (agency-certified) translation is fully online: send a scan, receive a PDF bearing our agency stamp by e-mail, and pick up the paper copy at our office or get it by courier in Yerevan. It is the fastest option for companies, universities and organisations that do not ask for notarization.
A notarized translation requires the physical original or a notarized copy, because the notary binds the translation to it. A scan is only used to quote the price. We go to the notary on your behalf, so you do not have to.
Apostille. Apostil.am does not issue apostilles. In Armenia they are issued by the state: the RA Ministry of Justice (civil status, notarial, court and other official documents) and the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (educational documents). We offer free guidance, can submit the application on your behalf (state fee 7,000 AMD per apostille) and then translate the document together with the apostille.
Requirements in Serbia: apostille and court interpreters
Armenia and Serbia are both parties to the 1961 Hague Apostille Convention, so consular legalization is generally not required; an apostille is enough. Armenian documents are apostilled in Armenia, while Serbian documents receive their apostille from the competent authority in Serbia.
Serbian state bodies, courts and notaries often accept only a translation by a sudski tumač, a court interpreter appointed in Serbia. In that case we prepare your apostilled original and can translate it into Serbian or English, so the court interpreter in Serbia works from a ready, checked text. Private employers and universities frequently accept a translation notarized in Armenia.
For embassy procedures, contact the competent Serbian embassy or consulate (it may be accredited from another country). In every case, check with the receiving authority which translation they accept.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Armenian Serbian translation cost?
Basic is 5,000 AMD per page (1,800 characters with spaces), Business with proofreading is 6,000 AMD, and Extra with editing and final review is 8,000 AMD. Notarization adds 6,000 AMD per document. We confirm the exact price after seeing your scan.
Can I get a notarized translation online from a scan?
No. The notary binds the translation to the original or a notarized copy, so the paper document must reach us. A scan is enough for a quote, and the stamped translation can be ordered fully online.
Will Serbian authorities accept a translation made in Armenia?
It depends on the authority. Serbian state bodies, courts and notaries often require a translation by a court interpreter (sudski tumač) appointed in Serbia, while private companies and universities often accept a translation notarized in Armenia. Check with the receiving authority first.
Will the translation be in Cyrillic or Latin script?
Whichever you need. Cyrillic is usually used for official purposes in Serbia, but if the receiving party asks for Latin script, we deliver in Latin. Name spellings follow your passport.
Do you put the apostille on documents?
No, Apostil.am does not issue apostilles. In Armenia they are issued by the RA Ministry of Justice and, for educational documents, the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports. We advise for free, can file the application for you (state fee 7,000 AMD) and translate the document including the apostille.
