Armenian Hebrew translation at Apostil.am covers both directions, Armenian to Hebrew and Hebrew to Armenian: Israeli certificates and population register extracts, medical reports, contracts and academic texts. Hebrew is a rare language pair in Armenia, so every order goes to professional translators from our network who work with modern Hebrew, know right-to-left layout and understand how Israeli official documents are structured. Order an agency-stamped translation online, or a notarized translation where we visit the notary for you.

When you need Hebrew translation

Hebrew is the official language of Israel. The Armenian Quarter of Jerusalem is one of the oldest Armenian communities anywhere. Typical cases today:

  • Residence and repatriation to Israel: families with Jewish roots collect birth, marriage and name-change certificates, sometimes archival records about parents and grandparents. The requirements and accepted languages are set by the competent Israeli authorities.
  • Medical treatment in Israel: medical history, histology, CT and MRI reports for an Israeli hospital, followed by the Israeli discharge summary translated into Armenian for your doctor.
  • Study and research: diplomas, transcripts and references for Israeli universities, plus academic texts in Armenian studies and theology.
  • Israeli citizens in Armenia: buying property, opening a bank account or applying for residence; Israeli certificates, register extracts and powers of attorney are translated into Armenian.
  • Business: contracts with Israeli IT, agritech and medtech companies, extracts from the Israeli companies registry, technical documentation.

Documents we translate

In both directions: Israeli documents into Armenian for Armenian authorities, notaries and banks, and Armenian documents into Hebrew for use in Israel.

Stamped vs notarized translation

A stamped (agency-certified) translation is fully online: send a scan, receive a PDF with the agency stamp by e-mail, and collect the paper copy at our office or get it by courier in Yerevan. It suits cases where no notary is required, for example a clinic or a business partner.

A notarized translation needs the original document or a notarized copy, because the notary binds the translation to it. It cannot be done online or from a scan; the scan is only used for the quote. We go to the notary on your behalf.

Apostil.am does not issue apostilles. In Armenia they are issued by the RA Ministry of Justice (civil status, notarial, court and other official documents) and the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (educational documents). We advise free of charge, can submit the application for you (state fee 7,000 AMD per apostille) and then translate the document including the apostille.

Requirements in Israel

Armenia and Israel are both parties to the Hague Apostille Convention, so as a rule an apostille is required instead of consular legalization.

  • Armenian documents for Israel: apostille in Armenia first. Israeli authorities often require a translation certified by an Israeli notary. In that case we prepare the apostilled original and, if useful, an English or Russian translation that an Israeli notary can work from, provided the receiving authority accepts this route.
  • Israeli documents for Armenia: the apostille is obtained in Israel, the country that issued the document. We then translate it into Armenian and have it notarized in Yerevan.
  • Consular matters: contact the competent Israeli embassy or consulate (it may be accredited from another country).

Requirements vary by authority and purpose, so always check with the receiving authority which translation they accept.

How to order

  1. Send a scan via WhatsApp, e-mail or the calculator form.
  2. Receive the price and deadline, and choose a package.
  3. For notarized translation, bring the original to our office or send it by courier; from Israel, use an international courier.
  4. Receive the PDF by e-mail and the paper copy at the office or by delivery.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to translate an Israeli birth certificate into Armenian?

Hebrew to Armenian translation in the Basic package is 10,000 AMD per page. A one-page certificate with notarization comes to 16,000 AMD. We confirm the exact price once we see the scan.

Can I order a notarized translation from Israel without travelling to Armenia?

Yes, but the original must physically reach us, because notarized translation is never done from a scan. Send the original by international courier. If a stamped translation is enough, it is completed fully online.

Will Israeli authorities accept a translation made in Armenia?

Sometimes, but Israeli authorities often require a translation certified by an Israeli notary. We then prepare the apostilled original and, if needed, an English or Russian translation. Confirm the requirement with the receiving authority.

How do you handle names and dates in Hebrew documents?

Hebrew is usually written without vowels, so we transliterate names according to the Latin spelling in the passport. If a document shows a Hebrew calendar date, we keep it next to the Gregorian one.

Why is Hebrew translation more expensive than other languages?

Hebrew is a rare language in Armenia and there are few qualified translators for this pair. Right-to-left text also requires careful layout and an extra check.
