Armenian to Dutch and Dutch to Armenian Translation in Yerevan

Apostil.am provides Armenian Dutch translation in Yerevan in both directions: Armenian to Dutch for documents filed in the Netherlands and Belgium, and Dutch to Armenian for Dutch and Belgian papers used in Armenia. Our network of professional translators and editors delivers stamped (agency-certified) and notarized translations for personal, academic, legal and business documents.
When you need a Dutch translation
Dutch is the official language of the Netherlands, one of the languages of Belgium (Flanders and bilingual Brussels), and is also spoken in Suriname and the Dutch Caribbean. Both the Netherlands and Belgium have Armenian communities, and highly skilled professionals, students and families move there from Armenia. The Netherlands is also one of Europe’s main trade and logistics hubs, so many Armenian companies work with Dutch partners.
- Residence permits: as a highly skilled migrant (kennismigrant), student or partner – birth and marriage certificates, police clearance.
- Municipal registration: when you move, the gemeente registers you in the population register and often asks for apostilled birth and marriage certificates, translated where needed.
- Marriage: birth certificate, certificate of marital status, divorce certificate.
- Study and diploma recognition: diploma, supplement, transcript.
- Business: supply contracts, invoices, manuals for agricultural and greenhouse equipment, Dutch company documents.
- Use in Armenia: Dutch birth and marriage certificates, diplomas, court decisions.
Documents we translate
We translate Armenian documents into Dutch for authorities in the Netherlands and Belgium, and Dutch documents into Armenian for the civil registry, the Migration Service, notaries, banks and courts in Armenia.
- Personal and civil status: passports, birth, marriage, divorce and death certificates, certificates of residence, powers of attorney, parental travel consent.
- Education: school certificates, diplomas, supplements, transcripts, syllabi.
- Legal and corporate: contracts, articles of association, Chamber of Commerce extracts, court rulings, employment contracts.
- Medical: medical reports, discharge summaries, test results, insurance documents.
- Technical and commercial: manuals, specifications, certificates, catalogues, websites.

Stamped vs notarized translation
A stamped (certified) translation is fully online: send a scan, receive a PDF with the agency stamp by e-mail, and collect the paper copy at our office or get it by courier in Yerevan.
A notarized translation requires the original (or a notarized copy) physically, because the notary binds the translation to it. A scan is only used for a quote; notarized translation online or from a scan is not possible. We visit the notary for you.
About the apostille: Apostil.am does not issue apostilles. In Armenia they are issued by the RA Ministry of Justice (civil status, notarial, court and other official documents) and the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (educational documents). We advise free of charge, can submit the application on your behalf (state fee 7,000 AMD per apostille) and then translate the document including the apostille.
Requirements in the Netherlands and Belgium
Armenia, the Netherlands and Belgium are all parties to the Hague Apostille Convention, so as a rule no consular legalization is needed; an apostille is enough. Armenian documents are apostilled in Armenia, Dutch ones in the Netherlands (usually at a district court, rechtbank) and Belgian ones by the Belgian Federal Public Service Foreign Affairs.
Netherlands: where a translation is required, Dutch authorities usually accept one by a sworn translator (beëdigd vertaler). At the same time, many municipalities and the immigration service IND often accept documents in English, French or German, so an English translation is sometimes enough. Diploma evaluation is usually done by Nuffic’s IDW service. The Netherlands has an embassy in Yerevan.
Belgium: a translation by a sworn translator (beëdigd vertaler / traducteur juré) is usually required. For consular matters, contact the competent Belgian embassy or consulate, which may be accredited from another country. Dutch and Belgian documents used in Armenia normally need an apostille and a notarized Armenian translation. Always check with the receiving authority which translation they accept.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Armenian Dutch translation cost?
Basic is 5,000 AMD per page (1,800 characters with spaces), Business 6,500 AMD and Extra 8,000 AMD. Notarization adds 6,000 AMD per document. We confirm the exact price after seeing the document.
Can I get a notarized translation online from a scan?
No. The original or a notarized copy is required, because the notary binds the translation to it. A scan is only used for a quote. The fully online option is a stamped translation delivered as a PDF.
Do I need an apostille or consular legalization for the Netherlands?
Both countries are Hague Convention parties, so an apostille is normally enough. Armenian documents are apostilled by the RA Ministry of Justice or Ministry of Education. We do not issue apostilles, but we can submit the application for you.
Will Dutch authorities accept an English translation?
Often yes: many municipalities and the IND accept documents in English. In some cases, however, a Dutch translation by a sworn translator is required. Check with the receiving authority and we will suggest the right option.
Do you translate for Belgium (Flemish)?
Yes. The official language of Flanders is standard Dutch, and the translator will use the administrative terminology common in Belgium. Just tell us the country when ordering.
