Armenian to Uzbek and Uzbek to Armenian Translation in Yerevan

Armenian to Uzbek translation and Uzbek to Armenian translation are provided in Yerevan by Apostil.am. We translate Uzbek documents into Armenian for use in Armenia, and Armenian documents into Uzbek for authorities, employers and partners in Uzbekistan. Our network of professional freelance translators and editors is familiar with the structure and terminology of Uzbek official documents.
With Uzbek, the script matters. The official alphabet of Uzbekistan is Latin, but Cyrillic is still widely used, and many documents from the Soviet period and the 1990s are written entirely in Russian. We check in advance which version the receiving side needs and spell names exactly as in the passport.
When you need Armenian-Uzbek translation
Uzbekistan has a long-standing Armenian community, especially in Tashkent and Samarkand, and more Uzbek citizens now work, study and start families in Armenia. Common situations:
- Working in Armenia. Passports, diplomas and references of Uzbek citizens for employment contracts, residence or work permit applications.
- Born in Uzbekistan. Birth certificates, archive certificates and employment record books of Armenians born or employed in the Uzbek SSR, needed for citizenship, pension or inheritance cases.
- Education. Uzbek school certificates and diplomas for Armenian universities, or Armenian students’ documents for universities in Uzbekistan.
- Marriage and family. Translating Uzbek documents to register a marriage in Armenia, plus birth and divorce paperwork.
- Trade and tourism. Supply contracts for dried fruit, farm produce and textiles, invoices, certificates of origin, and agreements between tour operators for Samarkand and Bukhara routes.
One case often involves documents from different decades and in different languages: a Soviet birth certificate in Russian and a diploma from independent Uzbekistan in Latin-script Uzbek. We translate the whole set with consistent terminology so names, dates and institutions match throughout.

Stamped vs notarized translation
A stamped translation is fully online: send a scan, receive a PDF bearing the agency stamp by e-mail, and pick up the paper copy at the office or get it by courier in Yerevan. It suits clients in Tashkent or anywhere else abroad.
A notarized translation requires the original or a notarized copy on paper, because the notary binds the translation to the document. The scan is only for the estimate. We go to the notary for you, and an original held in Uzbekistan can be sent by international courier.
Requirements in Uzbekistan: apostille and certification
Armenia and Uzbekistan are both parties to the Hague Apostille Convention. In Armenia the apostille is issued by the state: the RA Ministry of Justice (civil-status, notarial, court and other official documents) and the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (educational documents). Apostil.am does not issue apostilles. We give free advice, can file the application on your behalf (state fee 7,000 AMD per apostille) and then translate the document together with the apostille. Uzbek documents are apostilled in Uzbekistan.
Both countries are also parties to the CIS Minsk Convention on legal assistance, under which some official documents may be accepted without further legalization, though practice varies. As a rule, Uzbek authorities accept a translation notarized in Armenia, with an apostille where required. Some offices may ask for certification by an Uzbek notary. For consular matters, contact the competent Embassy or Consulate of Uzbekistan (it may be accredited from another country). Always check with the receiving authority which translation they accept.
