Armenian Danish Translation in Yerevan: Stamped and Notarized

Apostil.am provides Armenian Danish translation in both directions, Armenian to Danish and Danish to Armenian, for personal documents, diplomas, legal, medical and technical texts. Danish is not widely spoken in Armenia, so orders are handled by specialized translators and editors. Choose an agency-stamped translation fully online, or a notarized translation when the receiving party requires it.
When you need a Danish translation
Denmark is a member of the EU and the Schengen Area. Our clients most often deal with Danish documents in these situations:
- Getting married in Denmark. Denmark is known for a relatively simple civil marriage procedure for foreign couples. Beforehand you usually need a passport, birth certificate and proof of marital status; afterwards the Danish marriage certificate (vielsesattest) must be translated into Armenian to be registered in Armenia.
- Work and residence permits. Danish employers recruit specialists in IT, engineering, pharmaceuticals and agriculture. Typical documents are the diploma, employment contract and work references.
- Family reunification. Joining a spouse or parent in Denmark requires translated proof of family ties.
- Studying in Copenhagen, Aarhus or Odense. Many programmes are taught in English and universities often accept English translations.
- Business. We translate contracts, extracts from the Danish business register (CVR), certificates and technical documentation for wind energy and the food industry.
- Danish documents for Armenia. A child’s birth and name certificate (fødsels- og navneattest), marriage certificate or inheritance papers are translated into Armenian and notarized for the civil registry, notaries, banks or courts.
Documents we translate
We translate Armenian documents into Danish (or English, if the Danish authority accepts it) and Danish documents into Armenian for Armenian state bodies and notaries.
Personal and civil-status documents
- birth, marriage, divorce and death certificates
- proof of marital status, certificates of no impediment to marriage
- Armenian police clearance, Danish straffeattest, CPR number confirmation
Education
- diplomas, transcripts, school certificates, course descriptions
Legal and corporate
- powers of attorney, prenuptial agreements, employment and commercial contracts, CVR extracts, statutes, court decisions

Stamped vs notarized translation
A stamped (agency-certified) translation is fully online: send a scan, receive a stamped PDF by e-mail, and collect the paper copy at our office or get it by courier in Yerevan.
A notarized translation requires the original or a notarized copy, because the notary binds the translation to the document; it cannot be done from a scan, which is used only for the quote. We go to the notary for you.
Apostil.am does not issue apostilles. In Armenia they are issued by the RA Ministry of Justice (civil-status, notarial, court and other official documents) and the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (educational documents). We advise free of charge, can submit the application on your behalf (state fee 7,000 AMD per apostille) and then translate the document together with the apostille.
Requirements in Denmark: apostille and state-authorized translators
Armenia and Denmark are both parties to the Hague Apostille Convention, so consular legalization is generally not needed: the Armenian public document receives an apostille and is then translated. Danish documents, including marriage certificates, are apostilled by the competent authority in Denmark, after which we translate them into Armenian and have them notarized.
Denmark has state-authorized translators (statsautoriseret translatør). Some Danish authorities may require a translation by one of them; in that case we help prepare the apostilled original and the translation is done in Denmark. Many Danish bodies, however, accept documents in English, so an Armenian to English translation is often enough. Requirements for marriage documents may depend on the procedure and the municipality.
Visa and residence documents are filed with the competent Danish embassy or consulate (it may be accredited from another country) or through a visa application centre. Before ordering, check with the receiving authority which translation they accept.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Armenian Danish translation cost?
Basic costs 6,000 AMD per page (1,800 characters), Business with proofreading 7,000 AMD and Extra 10,000 AMD. Notarization adds 6,000 AMD per document.
How do I register a marriage concluded in Denmark in Armenia?
The Danish marriage certificate is apostilled in Denmark, then we translate it into Armenian and have it notarized. After that you can apply to the civil registry for registration.
Can I order a notarized translation online from a scan?
No. The notary binds the translation to the original or a notarized copy, so the original is required. A scan is enough for a quote; the stamped agency translation is the fully online option.
Do Danish authorities require a statsautoriseret translatør?
Some may, while many accept documents in English. Check with the receiving authority in advance and we will suggest the right solution.
Do Armenian documents need an apostille for Denmark?
For public documents, as a rule yes, since both countries are Hague Convention parties. The apostille is issued by the state, and we can submit the application on your behalf.
