Armenian to Italian and Italian to Armenian Translation in Yerevan

Apostil.am provides professional Armenian Italian translation in Yerevan in both directions: Armenian to Italian for documents you will file in Italy, Switzerland or San Marino, and Italian to Armenian for Armenian state bodies, notaries, banks and courts. Our network of professional translators and editors delivers stamped and notarized translations of personal documents, diplomas, contracts, medical records and technical files.
When you need an Italian translation
Italian is the official language of Italy, San Marino and Vatican City, and one of the national languages of Switzerland, spoken mainly in the canton of Ticino. Armenians have a long history with Italy: the Mekhitarist monastery on the island of San Lazzaro in Venice was for centuries a centre of Armenian scholarship and printing. Today Armenian students, musicians and workers move to Italy, and Armenian importers buy Italian furniture, machinery and food.
- Schengen visa: employment letters, bank statements, property certificates and invitations for tourist, family or business trips.
- Studying in Italy: school certificate, diploma and supplement, transcripts and course syllabi for admission and recognition.
- Work and residence: birth certificate, police clearance certificate, employment references and professional certificates.
- Marriage: birth and divorce certificates and marital status certificates for marrying in Italy or registering a marriage with an Italian citizen in Armenia.
- Business and imports: supply contracts, invoices, quality certificates, equipment manuals, articles of association and powers of attorney.
- Medical treatment: reports from Italian clinics.

Stamped vs notarized translation
A stamped (certified) translation is fully online: send a scan, receive a PDF bearing the agency stamp by e-mail, and collect the paper copy at our Yerevan office or get it by courier in Yerevan. It is the fastest option when no notary is required.
A notarized translation requires the original document (or a notarized copy) physically, because the notary binds the translation to it. A scan is only used for a price estimate, so a notarized translation cannot be done online or from a scan. We take the documents to the notary for you; you do not need to go.
About the apostille: Apostil.am does not issue apostilles. In Armenia they are issued by the state: the RA Ministry of Justice (civil status, notarial, court and other official documents) and the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (educational documents). We advise you free of charge, can submit the apostille application on your behalf (state fee 7,000 AMD per apostille) and then translate the document together with the apostille.
Requirements in Italy: apostille and sworn translation
Armenia and Italy are both parties to the Hague Apostille Convention, so as a rule an apostille replaces consular legalization. Armenian documents are apostilled in Armenia; Italian documents are apostilled in Italy, usually by the Prefettura (civil status and administrative documents) or the Procura della Repubblica (court and notarial documents).
Italian authorities often ask for a traduzione asseverata (also called giurata): a translation whose accuracy the translator confirms under oath in Italy, at a court or before another competent official. Alternatively, some accept a translation made abroad and certified as conforming by an Italian embassy or consulate. Italy has an embassy in Yerevan, but check its current procedure and fees directly. Universities frequently require a Dichiarazione di valore from the embassy or a CIMEA statement of comparability. In Switzerland, rules vary by canton. Always check with the receiving authority which translation they accept.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Armenian Italian translation cost?
The Basic package is 5,000 AMD per page (1,800 characters with spaces), Business is 7,000 AMD and Extra is 8,000 AMD. Notarization adds 6,000 AMD per document. We confirm the exact price after seeing the document.
Can I order a notarized translation online from a scan?
No. A notarized translation needs the original or a notarized copy, to which the notary binds the translation. A scan is only used for a quote. The fully online option is a stamped translation delivered as a PDF by e-mail.
Do I need an apostille or consular legalization for Italy?
Both countries are Hague Convention parties, so an apostille is normally enough. Armenian documents are apostilled by the RA Ministry of Justice or Ministry of Education. We do not issue apostilles, but we can submit the application on your behalf.
Will an Italian university accept a translation made in Armenia?
Many accept a good translation of an apostilled document, but some require a sworn translation made in Italy or certification by the Italian consulate. Check your university’s rules first and we will suggest the right option.
How long does the translation take?
Basic takes 1–3 working days, Business 2–3 and Extra 2–4. Express delivery within 24 hours costs +50%, same-day delivery +100%.
