Armenian to Hindi and Hindi to Armenian Translation in Yerevan

Armenian to Hindi translation and Hindi to Armenian translation are available in Yerevan from Apostil.am. We translate Indian documents into Armenian for Armenian authorities and Armenian documents into Hindi for use in India. Our network of professional freelance translators and editors works with Hindi in Devanagari script and knows the formats of Indian official documents.
Hindi and English are the official languages of the Indian Union, so many documents are issued in English or bilingually, and some state documents come in regional languages. We first check which language your document is in and suggest the most accurate and economical route: if the original is in English, an English to Armenian translation may be all you need. Indian names often have several Latin spellings, so we transliterate them into Armenian exactly as in the passport.
When you need Armenian-Hindi translation
Armenia and India have long-standing ties, with a historical Armenian presence in Kolkata and Chennai, and today many Indian citizens study and work in Armenia. Typical situations:
- Studying in Armenia. Most Indian students in Yerevan study medicine. Admission, residence cards, university transfers and having the degree recognised back in India all require translated certificates, mark sheets, passports and references.
- Working in Armenia. Employment contracts and documents for residence and work permit applications.
- Marriage. Registering a marriage between an Armenian and an Indian citizen in Armenia requires a notarized Armenian translation of the Indian documents; recognising the marriage in India requires a translation of the Armenian certificate.
- Business. Contracts for importing medicines, tea, spices and textiles from India, invoices, certificates and IT cooperation agreements.
- Family and inheritance. Birth certificates, powers of attorney and inheritance documents.
A translation from Hindi specifically matters when a document was issued in a Hindi-speaking state and filled in in Devanagari, or when the Indian side asks for a Hindi text.

Stamped vs notarized translation
A stamped translation is fully online: send a scan, receive a PDF with the agency stamp by e-mail, and collect the paper copy at the office or get it by courier in Yerevan.
A notarized translation requires the original or a notarized copy on paper, because the notary binds the translation to it. The scan is only for the estimate. If you are in Yerevan, just bring the original to our office and we will go to the notary. The Migration Service, the civil registry and other state bodies usually require a notarized translation.
Requirements in India: apostille and certification
Armenia and India are both parties to the Hague Apostille Convention, so consular legalization is usually not needed. Armenian documents are apostilled by the state: the RA Ministry of Justice (civil-status, notarial, court and other official documents) and the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (educational documents). Apostil.am does not issue apostilles. We give free advice, can file the application on your behalf (state fee 7,000 AMD per apostille) and translate the document together with the apostille.
Indian documents are apostilled in India: as a rule by the Ministry of External Affairs, often after prior attestation by state authorities. Many Indian authorities work in English and may prefer an English translation, while some may require local certification. For consular matters you can contact the Embassy of India in Yerevan. Always check with the receiving authority which translation they accept.

Often yes, if the original carries an apostille. Many authorities prefer an English translation, and some may ask for local certification. Check with the receiving side in advance.
